Life hasn't always been this rosy for us!
In 2007, when we started our home based business, we were at the end of a gruelling, five year cycle of financial downsizing. Before this, Richard had been a corporate director in the IT industry where he earned over $400,000pa and Kerrianne was a retired fashion designer, enjoying time at home with our young family. Our income was mainly coming from the Dot.com boom so when the bubble burst, our livelihood went with it.
On the surface of things we still seemed to have it all. What nobody realized was the financial struggle going on behind the scenes. The relentless pressure of constant financial juggling was stealing all the joy from our lives…we were completely stressed out, and no matter how hard we budgeted we always seemed to be going in one direction - backwards! We knew things had to change.
We spent hours researching business opportunities and looking for a real business we could feel proud of. We found a sustainable business model built on a long-term growth trend; a business that supported our belief that life could be fun and that making money didn't have to mean long hours and separate lives.
